Description:
This Course is the Classroom version of the IS-200.B / ICS-200 Course offered on-line by EMI)
Pre-Registration is requested for this course to assure classroom materials are available for all students but not mandatory.
The ICS 200 course covers the Leadership and Management Principals within ICS including the chain of command and formal communication relationships, the identification of common leadership responsibilities, span-of-control, modular development of the ICS structure and the use and purpose of position titles within ICS.
Also covered in the class are the Principals of Delegation of Authority, Management by Objectives the use of Functional Areas and Positions, as well as the importance and function of briefings within the ICS process. Students will be introduced to the Organizational Flexibility characteristics of ICS, as well as receive an overview of the fundamental elements involved in the Transfer of Command and the Command Process in general.

Additional Information:

Open to both OKMRC Volunteers and Non-Volunteers.

Cost: There will be a $5.00 fee payable the day of the course if you wish to keep your classroom materials. Otherwise there is no cost to take this course.

Attendance Capacity: Seating is limited to 30 individual students for this course.

Primary Audience: Persons involved with emergency planning, response or recovery efforts.

Prerequisites: IS-100 / ICS-100 - Introduction to the incident Command System is recommended. Completion of IS-700.A, National Incident Management Systems (NIMS), An Introduction is recommended.
