Caddo County All-Hazards Preparedness Extravaganza

The Caddo County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC) in partnership with the City of Anadarko, Caddo County Emergency Management, Caddo Nation, Delaware Tribe, Caddo County Health Department, Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps (OKMRC), Native American Indian Prevention Coalition (NAIPC) and other organizations, are hosting the 2nd Annual Caddo County All-Hazards Preparedness Extravaganza. The event will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2015 from 9 am to 3 pm at the Iscani Gym in Anadarko. The Iscani Gym is located on the corner of Iscani and Coronado Road off Highway 281.

The Extravaganza is open to the public and a training opportunity for first responders as participants receive first-hand knowledge and information from industry experts about weather safety, conservation, and ways to protect your family.

Speakers will focus on preparedness education for different life hazards including weather from the National Weather Service - Rick Smith, environmental hazards and conservation from OSU – Lynn Malley, and individual and family preparedness from the Oklahoma Department of Homeland Security – Wendy Marcy. We will also honor the 20th Anniversary of the Murrah Bombing with a special presentation from Murrah Bombing Survivor Dennis Purifoy.

Information booths are invited and the Caddo and Delaware Tribes are also using this event to celebrate Earth Day and will have displays throughout the gym center.
