In the event of a public health emergency or disaster, Point of Dispensing (POD) sites will be activated in order to provide medication, vaccine and/or medical supplies to the healthy community prior to the onset of illness. In doing so, we will decrease illness and prevent death. The ultimate goal of a POD is to provide these items to a large population in a short period of time. In order to accomplish this goal, we need individuals trained and well-versed in their roles.
