Poteau BalloonFest - Medical Station Set-Up / Alaska Shelter Training-EveryoneOct 19 2017This is a training for the Alaska Quonset Hut (Military Style)Shelter set-up. During this training we will be learning how to setup the shelter for a Medical Aid Station following a disaster. The shelter will remain setup to be used as a First Aid Station during Balloonfest the following 2 days. This training will be beneficial for ALL OKMRC volunteers, even those with either lifting and / or mobility limitations. The Tear-down training will be on Sunday 10/22nd from 3 PM to 5 PM. Please see the separate event to sign up for that part of the training too. The Poteau Balloonfest is an annual public event which features a Carnival, Helicopter Rides, Hot Air Balloon Rides, Mud Pit Races, Expo Building with Exhibits, and Multiple Entertainment Acts inside the Rodeo Arena and on the festival grounds. |
