OKMRC Exercise: Operation August Outbreak

This exercise is the first Full-Scale exercise put on by the OKMRC. There are roles for volunteers at medical, mental health, and animal response stations. In addition we need volunteers to fill the role as shelter residents. Volunteers who have completed leadership training may sign up at the Staging Liaison and Stress Response Team Leader stations. In this exercise a grass fire is spreading rapidly and nearby homes are being evacuated to a shelter. Families and their pets are arriving distressed at the shelter. Medical Reserve Corps volunteers have been requested to assist with providing psychological first aid, heat stress screening, and animal intake.
