Oklahoma Public Health Association 2017 Conference: Volunteer Request

"Creating the Healthiest State... People, Policy and Resources"

September 27th & 28th, 2017

Renaissance Tulsa Hotel & Convention Center, 6808 South 107th East Avenue, Tulsa, OK

The Oklahoma Public Health Association (OPHA) 2017 Conference planning committee has been diligently working to ensure the 2017 OPHA Conference is a success. In order for the conference to run smoothly and efficiently we need volunteers to fill roles as Room Monitors or Facilitators for the breakout sessions, and the section/caucus meetings. Below is a brief overview of the Room Monitor and Facilitator job responsibilities:

• · Room Monitor: Arrive 30 minutes prior to assigned session location to ensure the room is properly set-up for the presentation. (Chairs are aligned, room is clean and temperature is cool.) Assist presenters with AV equipment as needed. Control room occupancy.

• · Facilitators: Arrive 30 minutes prior to assigned session to assist presenters with any needs. Introduce speakers, moderate session, and distribute any of the presenter's handouts.

• Please note: All volunteers will receive additional, detailed guidance closer to the conference.

Also, all Section/Caucus Chairs will need to sign-up using the link below to verify their role if serving as the facilitator of their section/caucus.
