OKC Sound the Alarm Campaign

The Red Cross is looking to install over 1,000 smoke alarms in a single day as part of their Sound the Alarm Campaign, and they've requested OKMRC volunteers to help! Volunteers are needed to perform 1 of 3 roles: Volunteer Safety Educator- Educates families on fire safety and helps them develop a disaster plan while the smoke alarm is being installed. Volunteer Smoke Alarm Installer- Installs the smoke alarms in the homes, should be comfortable using a ladder and power drill. Volunteer Documenter- Records info about each home and the fire alarms installed. In addition, 2-3 medical volunteers have been requested to provide First Aid to the 400+ volunteers who will be participating in this event.
