Cleveland County Badge Day

MRC Unit #333 will be utilizing the annual Amateur Radio Field Day to do staff training and conduct a Badge Day.

This will be an opportunity to review your information on the internet and update your ID. If all goes as planned and the member is eligible for a badge it will be issued on site. At a minimum, information will be updated and a badge worksheet completed.

Further this is a great opportunity to work with our partner volunteer group the South Canadian Amateur Radio Society and learn about the hobby of HAM Radio. There will be a Get On the Air Station (GOTA). This will allow you to actually talk on HAM radio without a license. Field Day does have a competition to it, so the more people that drop by and participate, the more points SCARS will receive. Children are welcome and can participate too.

Check in and Badging will be conducted on Saturday June 25, 2016 from 1-4 pm at Reeves Park 2501 Jenkins Ave, Norman, OK. We would like to see 100 volunteers from the Cleveland County listing come by. We need participants to stress our system and resolve any issues that arise.

Weather is expected to be in the upper 80’s and be a beautiful day.

Look for the check in trailer at or near the tornado siren at the south end of the park. If you have medical credentials not yet scanned, please bring and we will attempt to input into the system for you.

POC for further information is David Grizzle 405-245-9522 or Rarchar Tortorello 405-761-4401.
