CERT Basic Training Course

CERT Basic Training Course in Broken Arrow, OK

Nov. 8, 15 & 22, 2014.

 

The Community Emergency Response Team  (CERT) Training program educates people about disaster preparedness for hazards that may impact their area and trains them in basic disaster response skills. Using CERT training individuals can assist others in their neighborhood, workplace or school following an event when professional responders are not immediately available to help. Basic CERT UNITS include an Introduction to CERT, Disaster Preparedness, Fire Safety, Disaster Medical Operations and Search and Rescue, Hazardous Material, Disaster Psychology and Terrorist Incidents.

 

The course will be held

 

Saturday November 8, 9am-4pm

 

Unit 1: Disaster Preparedness

Unit 2: Fire Safety

 

Saturday November 15, 9am to 4pm

 

Unit 3: Disaster Medical Operations part 1

Unit 4: Disaster Medical Operations part 2

Unit 5: Light Search and Rescue Operations

Unit 6: CERT Organization

 

Saturday November 22, 9am-4pm

 

Unit 7: Disaster Psychology

Unit 8: Terrorism and CERT

Unit 9: Course Review and Disaster Simulation

 

Everyone is welcome to attend any of the days they have an interest and are available. Participants must attend all three days to complete the CERT course for certification.
