Join the Public Health Foundation (PHF) and the Bio-Defense Network on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 1-2pm EDT for a webinar focused on preparedness and response to the Zika Virus. The webinar will feature two presenters from local health departments. 

Cheryl Clay is the Public Health Senior Environmentalist for the Madison County Health Department, where her core responsibility is managing the vector control program for the City of Huntsville. She has been an environmentalist for the Alabama Department of Public Health for over 10 years. Cheryl worked as a health inspector before transferring to vector control four years ago. Her vector control program emphasizes public education and source education as the most effective means to prevent mosquito-borne disease. Cheryl holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Kentucky in Natural Resource Conservation and Management.  

James Sayers is a Vector Control Supervisor for the St. Louis County Department of Public Health. James graduated from the University of Missouri in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and a Certificate in Conservation Biology.  He is currently licensed with the Missouri Department of Agriculture as a Certified Public Operator in Public Health Pest Control and has worked for St. Louis County Department of Public Health as a Vector Control Specialist since 2006 and has been Supervisor since March 2016.
