In the event of an outbreak or bioterrorism attack, the Oklahoma City-County Health Department (OCCHD)'s Emergency Preparedness and Response Program (EPRP) will set up temporary Points of Dispensing (PODs) to distribute medications (pills or vaccine) to the public.

In addition to these Open PODs, the OCCHD EPRP has developed a Push Partner program with large employers in the OKC metro. These Push Partners will receive their own medications for their employees and employees' families.

OKMRC volunteers will undoubtedly be asked to help staff the Open PODs, but we may also be asked to provide assistance with Push Partner PODs, and that's where this training is focused! The class will cover what the Push Partner program is, the differences between Open and Closed PODs, and the role OKMRC volunteers might play in each.
This particular training is geared towards medical volunteers.
