Date/Time: Class Limit: Additional Information: The Disaster Vaccination Training will prepare OKMRC registered nurses to participate in the event of an Oklahoma County mass vaccination response. OKMRC registered nurses may be called upon to supplement health department staff. Examples of events when OKMRC nurses might assist the health department include tetanus vaccination after tornadoes, influenza vaccination during flu season, Hepatitus A vaccination during floods, and sometimes back to school childhood vaccinations (Tulsa). Completion of the Nip-it Modules before this class is strongly encouraged. www.nip-it.org (Nursing Initiative Promoting Immunization Training). Bring copies of your Certificate of Completion to the class and you will receive 6.0 free Continuing Education credit hours for completing the Nip-It modules ahead of class. Please do not pay on the nip-it website! This credit is FREE to OKMRC volunteers! This classroom training has been approved for 3.0 credit hours for Registered Nurses. Training will be held in Room 101 A at the OCCHD Northeast Regional Health and Wellness Center, 2600 NE 63rd St. Parking is available in front. Use the west entrance.
