STATEWIDE: Oklahoma Mission of Mercy in Durant

The OKMRC has been requested to assist with the Oklahoma Mission of Mercy (OkMOM). OkMOM is a free, two-day dental clinic open to people of all ages and backgrounds. It is specifically designed for people that are uninsured, underinsured or would otherwise not be able to seek dental care. We are needing volunteers for all areas: Dentists, Dental Hygienists, Dental Assistants, Medical and Non-Medical Personnel. DENTAL HYGIENISTS AND DENTAL ASSISTANTS ARE PARTICULARLY NEEDED. Dr. Tim Fagan, past OkMOM Chair, stated the following about who can volunteer for OkMOM: "People might think they need a special skill set, but what they need is a giving heart and a willingness to help." Location: Choctaw Event Center, 3702 Choctaw Road, Durant, OK Dates: February 2 & 3 Shifts: 4:30 am - 12 pm 11:00 am - 5:30 pm Clinic doors will open to patients each day at 5 a.m. and close when they reach capacity, estimated at 1,000 patients per day.
