Warner Multi Agency Resource Center (MARC)

Jun 14 2019

OKMRC volunteers trained in Psychological First Aid (PFA) and/or with a mental health license are needed to serve as ambassadors at numerous Multi-Agency Resource Centers (MARCs) in communities across the state (primarily NE OK) affected by recent flooding in coming weeks.

Warner MARC (closest to Webber Falls)
June 14 - 10 AM - 7 PM
June 15 - 10 AM - 7 PM
(Two shifts available both days. Volunteers arrive 30 minutes before MARC opens)

Oklahoma Voluntary Organizations in Disaster (VOAD) has MARCs as a one-stop shop were people affected by severe weather who have a case number with Red Cross can come to get resources from a number of organizations like Salvation Army, food banks, Baptist Disaster Relief, insurance commissioner, legal aid, etc. The Stress Response Team (SRT) MRC usually has volunteers at MARCs to serve as ambassadors and help guide affected persons through the MARC, while offering psychological first aid (PFA). Because of the large number of MARCs that will be scheduled for the flooding, all OKMRC volunteers trained in PFA are being asked to respond. Additional locations and shifts will be added as they are scheduled.
