Moore Outdoor Music FestivalSep 21 2024Hello All: The Cleveland County MRC has been requested to support the Moore Music Festival on September 21, 2024. The period of operations is from 12 pm to 11 pm. Shifts will be established for sign up. We will need both medical and non-medical volunteers. We anticipate a very busy day with many bands in the festival. The Moore Outdoor Music Festival is a student-focused event that gives each marching band the opportunity to perform twice throughout the day. The preliminary competition performances will be followed by short clinic time with the judges. Placement awards are given to the bands after their final performance in the evening. https://www.mooreband.com/mom-fest. The Moore Band Booster Club has requested assistance for the Moore Music Festival. Volunteers should review heat exhaustion protocols, minor first aid protocols and ankle sprains. The aid station will be in a response trailer supplied by Norman Emergency Management. The trailer is air-conditioned and the capability for mister fans and pop up shelters will be available. Volunteers should bring money for food trucks and there will be drinks and snacks available. MRC shirts and ID cards are required. If you do not have them contact David Grizzle 405-245-9522. Sunscreen is encouraged and a hat. Both medical and Non-medical volunteers are needed. Most of the exposure will in an outside environment with the possibility of a roving aid team. Medical bag will be available. The shifts are established at 4 hours each, however if you are available for any of the hours listed please sign up and send David a note on what hours you can support the festival with.
