County Animal Response Teams (CARTs)

The Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps (OKMRC) is dedicated to building a strong and functional team of volunteers who are ready to respond to the needs of displaced pets and livestock during a time of need.

County Animal Response Teams (CARTs) are forming now!   Mayes County is looking for individuals who wish to serve their community—including the needs of displaced pets—during a time of disaster.  Team members can include emergency management, first responders, health department, animal control organizations, Police, Fire, animal sheltering groups, specialty groups, and individual volunteers.  No experience is necessary and training will be provided at no charge to participants.

Mayes County’s first educational meeting for the County Animal Response Teams (CARTs) will be held on Thursday, October 11th from 11:30 to 1:00 at the Integris Mayes County Medical Ctr.  Use the entrance on the West by the cafeteria and we will be in the second meeting room on the left.  Feel free to bring your lunch or you may also purchase one from the hospital cafeteria.
