American Indian Exposition-Caddo County

Hello OKMRC Volunteers!

MEDICAL AND NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO STAFF HYDRATION-COOLING and FIRST AID STATION (Western Shelter) at AMERICAN INDIAN EXPOSITION

The 87th Annual American Indian Expo is set for Wednesday, August 15th through Saturday August 18th at the Caddo County Fairgrounds in Anadarko, OK. Native American Indian crafts and food vendors will also be on site, as well as children's activities.  Native American Dance competitions are held each night in all categories and ages.

Medical Reserve Corps will be setting up a Western Shelter, provided by the Oklahoma City/County Health Department, which is an 18x35 foot insulated tent with air conditioning. It will be used to offer cool respite from the heat and we will distribute iced water for Expo attendees as well as provide First Aid. Medical and non-medical OKMRC volunteers are needed to staff the tent and provide first aid.

If you are interested in volunteering for any of the shifts below, please email Rebecca at rebeccaw@health.ok.gov or call/text 580-682-1572 and THANK YOU!
