McClain Co-WildCare Move

WildCare Foundation has requested assistance from the Oklahoma Department of Agriculture, Food, and Forestry (ODAFF) to help them move into their new facility. This would require movement of heavy equipment, furniture, animal care supplies, unoccupied cages and cages occupied with juvenile wildlife (raccoons, opossums, squirrels, songbirds, reptiles) that are located in the nursery into the new facility. There will be minimal contact with the wildlife by the volunteers but an opportunity to tour the facility and training on proper techniques for capturing and handling wildlife during a disaster will be provided. This will give the volunteers an opportunity to work under and experience being part of an Incident Management exercise. Each volunteer will receive an Incident Action Plan and have the opportunity to participate in a short After Action Review. Lastly, each team will have the opportunity to move wildlife occupied enclosures.
