Anadarko - 83rd Annual American Indian Expo

MEDICAL AND NON-MEDICAL VOLUNTEERS NEEDED TO STAFF HYDRATION-COOLING/FIRST AID STATION (Western Shelter) at AIE

The 83rd Annual American Indian Expo is set for Wednesday, August 6th through Saturday August 9th at the Caddo County Fairgrounds in Anadarko, OK. The celebration opens with a parade on August 6th. American Indian crafts and food vendors will also be on site including a fry bread competition! There is a carnival running concurrently with the Expo and dance competitions each night in all categories and all ages.

The Expo has become a premier tourism venue of American Indian traditional art, culture and dance. Scores of visitors from across the state, nation and abroad come to Anadarko each summer to witness with their own eyes the colorful dance and pageant presentations.

MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS will assist in setting up the Western Shelter on Wednesday, August 9th (meeting time before noon to be announced) and in taking down the Western Shelter on Sunday, August 10th (meeting time before noon to be announced)

MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS will be providing Medical Staff to provide First Aid from 2 pm to 10 pm or 6 pm to 10 pm Wednesday through Saturday night.

MEDICAL RESERVE CORPS will also assist in staffing the Western Shelter Hydration/Cooling Station during hours of operation (with non-medical staff) from 2 pm to 10 pm.

August 6 12 volunteers needed to set up Western Shelter (7 am)

2-6 pm 2 Medical volunteers needed for First aid and 2 non-medical volunteers needed to assisted with staffing Hydration/Cooling Station

6-10 pm 2 Medical volunteers and 2 non-medical volunteers needed to assisted with staffing Hydration/Cooling Station

August 7
