You just don’t feel like yourself. You might be experiencing a cluster of symptoms such as anxiety, depression, dizziness, fatigue, joint pain and/or lack of motivation. Surely, something terrible is brewing in your body. You prepare yourself for the worst and then your doctor tells you that it is just menopause. The average age of menopause is 51. However, the symptoms from hormonal changes can start ten years prior. Over 42% of OKMRC volunteers are females aged 40 and older. Therefore, menopausal symptoms have a potential to greatly impact our volunteers. If it doesn’t directly apply to you, I’m sure you have someone in your life that it does. This information you learn here, can possibly help you, someone you love, or even someone you work with at a disaster site. This series is evolving and each training will cover a more in depth information to various aspects of menopause, all sessions will not be the same. Feel free to join one or all.
