The AHA’s BLS course trains participants to promptly recognize several life-threatening emergencies, give high-quality chest compressions, deliver appropriate ventilations and provide early use of an AED. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC). The AHA’s BLS Course is designed for healthcare professionals and other personnel who need to know how to perform CPR and other basic cardiovascular life support skills in a wide variety of in-facility and prehospital settings. This course is meant for healthcare providers but anyone can attend!

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved for 4 nursing contact hours by the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation. Directions will be given at the beginning of the session for how to obtain continuing education credit.

This professional development activity has been jointly provided by Fran and Earl Ziegler OU College of Nursing and the Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps.
