Mental Health and Stress Awareness and Raising Suicide Awareness provide the most current information on mental health statistics and trends in the US and in Oklahoma. It identifies signs and symptoms to assess, as well as, risk factors and protective factors. This presentation discusses actions to take and strategies to support individual and community resilience.

Mental Health Awareness provides the most current information on mental health trends in the US and in Oklahoma.  It identifies symptoms of major mental illnesses and addresses the issue of suicide including suicide trends, warning signs, and appropriate support actions and resources.  This presentation discusses strategies to support individual and community resilience.

This nursing continuing professional development activity was approved for 1.5 nursing contact hours by the Georgia Nurses Association, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

This professional development activity has been jointly provided by Fran and Earl Ziegler OU College of Nursing and the Oklahoma Medical Reserve Corps. CLEET, LPC, LMFT, and Social Work credit also available.
