Description:
De-Escalation Training Objectives: • Define and discuss anger, aggression, and violence • Identify how anger, aggression, and violence can be increased or decreased in client encounters • Practice techniques to self-calm when someone is increasing in aggression • Describe signs of escalation in client scenarios • Contrast responses that make the situation more/less escalated • Role play debriefing strategies following an escalation incident • Examine current organizational policies with a goal to create ones that help to prevent/respond to escalation

Join us for an engaging and interactive training session designed to equip participants with effective de-escalation techniques. This course will cover a variety of “toolbox” methods, including:
    Definitions and behavioral indicators
    Active listening strategies
    Physical stances and safety measures
    Situational awareness and risk assessment
