Access and Functional Needs Training provides the information and tools needed to help assist community members or oneself with physical challenges in a response or deployment situation. The training provides awareness of these challenges, personal stories of struggle and allows each person to experience access and functional needs that occur in our society. With these experiences, the trainers hope that each person will be better equipped to provide assistance to themselves and others.

Additional Information:

Participants will learn about the different ways substance use and mental health challenges impact older adults. They will also learn strategies to support themselves and others who are in need of mental health support.

Retired Seniors Volunteer Program (RSVP) is hosting this free Mental Health First Aid for Older Adults Training on Tuesday, February 18th and Tuesday, February 25th from 9 AM - 2 PM. Participants will need to attend both sessions to receive a certificate.
