He will give us practical tips on how to stay safe in our personal lives and while working out in the field whether that be on our day-to-day public health missions or responding to disasters and emergencies (tis the season). This course provides essential knowledge for recognizing, preventing, and treating heat-related health issues. Participants will learn to identify the signs and symptoms of various heat illnesses, with a focus on distinguishing between potentially life-threatening heat stroke and heat exhaustion. The course covers predisposing factors, prevention strategies, and treatment methods for heat-related conditions. By the end of the training, attendees will be equipped with practical skills to protect themselves and others during hot weather and high sun exposure situations, enhancing safety in both work and recreational environments. |
