Calm in Crisis Training - VIRTUAL

We’re excited to share that OKMRC volunteers have been invited by our OKVOAD partners at Crisis Care Ministries to attend the Disaster Emotional and Spiritual Care Academy, just in time for severe weather season.

This six-week, web-based training series will cover a variety of disaster-related topics designed to strengthen your response skills and support capabilities. You’re welcome to register for as many sessions as you’d like, or join us for the entire series!

Trainings will be held every Tuesday from March 24th through April 28th, from 10:00 a.m. – 11:30 a.m.

Series Schedule:

24 March - Calm in Crisis
31 March - Talk Saves Lives (Suicide Prevention)
7 April - Responding with Care:  A Trauma-Informed Approach to Disaster Response for Diverse Communities
14 April - Risk and Protective Factors
21 April - Tools for Building Resilience
28 April - Emotional & Spiritual Care in Human-Caused Disasters
