Additional Information:

Yes!!  The Animal Decontamination course details are finalizing.  Eric Thompson, with ASAR and NASAAEP, will come down from Kansas to be our lecturer and exercise coordinator.

Registration will begin at 8:30am and classes start at 9 am.  There will be a field exercise in the afternoon with live animals.  Both dogs and horses will be available to further our hands on experience. Students will be applying the skills they just learned to include setting up and breaking down a decontamination area. This will include things like use of zones, moving animals through the process, assessing effective decontamination, PPE, and handling intake, discharge, and MUCH more.  A post exercise hot wash will follow and will be another area in which more can be learned.  This means this event may run longer than the scheduled 4:30 - 5 pm, especially depending on animal cooperation (just makes this more real world).

Location at Stillwater, OK at the College of Veterinary Medicine in the lecture hall. (Roger J Panciera Building attached to McElroy Hall, Room 142) The exercise will occur in the adjacent Equine Arena. Maps and parking locations will be emailed directly to participants.
