Soonercon 33 - Gateway to the GalaxyJun 21 2025Soonercon is the Oklahoma City Metro area’s longest-running premier pop culture convention that happens every summer in Norman, OK. This will be our 4th year to support this event and like many large event venues this one is robust and full of opportunity to work your skills and represent the best MRC program in FEMA Region 6. We are looking at 4-8 volunteers per shift. Medical and non-medical are encouraged, but we need at least one medical per shift. Please consider this opportunity and come out to enjoy and have fun. The convention hosts celebrity guests, unique shopping opportunities, costume contests, an all-ages dance, the largest sci-fi and fantasy art show in the region, tabletop and video gaming, panels, workshops, kids programming and three days of fun for the whole family. Soonercon 33 will be June 20-22, 2025. It will be hosted at the Embassy Suites Norman Hotel & Conference Center, 2501 Conference Dr, Norman, OK 73069.
