TLAER/OLAFR Basic Awareness Level Course

Feb 01 2020

This free course will teach basic scene management and safety aspects, as well as rescue techniques for large animals which are in a trapped or downed situation such as a ditch or gully, an enclosed space, or any number of situations such as may be encountered following a tornado, other disaster, or even an every day accident! We will discuss use of various pieces of equipment, many of which you may already own - such as tow straps or a lunge whip - and not only how to use them, but also how not to use them. Finally, we will review a variety of actual rescue situations and discuss the techniques used. The training will be held at Heritage Place, 2829 S. MacArthur Blvd., Oklahoma City, OK 73218 on 2/1/2020 at 10:00 AM. Please contact info@olafr.org for more information.
