Once again, we are requesting assistance to support the OU home football game. This game is an evening game starting at 5:30 pm. We will establish the cooling tent on Friday the 8th and the timing is still up in the air, but will be after 12 and hopefully before 3. It should take about 2 ½ hours to set up. Saturday, we need 2-3 non-medical personnel from 12-3 for monitoring water. We need 1 medical volunteer to help during this time also. From 5-9, we need more medical people to cover the cooling tents when the game is going. We were very busy during the game, as people get over heated in the heat/sun they will come out and cool down. Some may need medical attention. At the end of the game, we will probably see some people but the crowd will thin quickly. We need additional personal to assist in taking down the equipment and loading. It will take about 2 hours to do that. You will see a schedule and some information, but the bottom line is if you want to help, we can use you regardless of any schedule posted. If you can help between hours posted, early, or late, just let us know and we can work with you.
Parking is always prime. We will coordinate parking and transportation form the Well. This is a very fluid situation but an outstanding opportunity to grow the MRC presence.
