Steven Wood has worked diligently to bring a great speaker for us. I am pleased to say that Inger Giuffrida, CEO of Wildcare will be presenting Thursday evening, March 14, 2024, at the Cleveland County Wellness Center, 210 James Garner Ave, Norman, OK . It will be in an upstairs classroom. The meeting will begin promptly at 6 pm as Ms. Giuffrida has an existing commitment and must depart by 7 pm. Inger Giuffrida joined the WildCare team in August 2019 and serves as the organization’s Executive Director although she has admired WildCare’s work since moving to Oklahoma in 2004 from Washington, DC. She served in the U.S. Peace Corps in East Africa, directed a regional nonprofit women’s economic development organization, started a microenterprise and financial wellness program within a nationally recognized federal credit union, and ran the field services division of a think tank in the nation’s capital. For the past 17 years, she has operated a consulting business providing services for a wide variety of clients including the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, the FDIC, the CFPB, United Way Worldwide, the Annie E. Casey Foundation, and many others, working in all 50 states and Canada. She has a B.S. from Miami University, M.B.A. from Western Michigan University, is a graduate of Leadership Grand Rapids `98 and Leadership Norman `19. She also serves on numerous boards and in a wide number of volunteer positions in the community. A lifelong animal lover, she lives on a mini-farm in Norman with her husband of 24 years, children, Sam and Sofia, and an ever-growing population of pets including Stella and Penelope, two American Guinea Hogs.
