University of Oklahoma Football Game

The University of Oklahoma Athletics has requested MRC assistance for the first 3 Home Games of the Season due to the typical heat related risks associated with this time of year.  MRC will be providing a Cooling, Hydration, and Basic First Aid Station on these Game Days. We are requesting 4 non-medical volunteers to assist Friday, August 29, with the Setup of the Station. We will meet at 4 pm at the site of the Tent west of the Fieldhouse and North of the Brooks Walkway North of the Stadium.  Shouldn’t take more than 2 hours to set things up.  We will have two 4-hour shifts on game day August 30th, 1pm to 5pm and another from 5 pm to 9pm.  We will be tearing down the equipment at the kickoff of the second half and storing it in a trailer next to our setup to be picked up the next day.  We should have you headed out of there before the game is over.  We are requesting 3 Medical to run the First Aid and 3 Non-Medical to oversee the tent and maintain the water station.  We will be providing support to EMSSTAT outside of the stadium.  Parking is being determined and transportation from parking to the tent and back by golf cart will be provided.  We will communicate parking directions and POC for each shift before each game.   Wear your MRC T-Shirt, but accent it with any supportive OU gear you have and come join and support this festive atmosphere  You can contact David Grizzle - 405-245-9522 or david.grizzle@normanok.gov if you have any questions.  I have attached a picture with a red circle indicating where the station is North of the Stadium.
