Kiowa County Preparedness Expo

OKMRC Volunteers throughout the Southwest (and beyond!) are invited to receive FREE training sponsored by the Oklahoma Volunteers Active in Disaster (OKVOAD) and the Kiowa County Local Emergency Planning Committee (LEPC).  

Seminars and training will be provided all day on Saturday, March 7, 2020 from 10 am to 3 pm. Training opportunities include:

  • QPR (Question, Persuade, Refer) Suicide prevention
  • CPR
  • Stop the Bleed
  • Until Help Arrives
  • Preparing with Pedro
  • Pillowcase Project
  • Western Technology Center Driving Simulator

Agency information booths will be available to answer questions such as Red Cross, Legal Aid, Paws With Love Therapy Dogs, OK Office of Homeland Security, and OK Emergency Management.

OKMRC Volunteers are also needed to help staff our recuitment booth, provide onsite first aid and help direct participants.
